London-based DJ, Cormac, has launched a new podcast series called Queerly Beloved. The first season will feature nine interviews and a bonus feature aimed at exploring the past and present of dance music, its queer roots and celebrating its evolution. Guests on the podcast series include Romy, Andy Butler, Lakuti, Kim Ann Foxman, Peaches, Planningtorock, fka.m4a, Fat Tony, and Josh Caffe. The series will feature playlists with tracks that are covered across all the episodes.

In an interview with Mixmag, Cormac said that he hopes the podcast will help people connect through music. He added “not only as an LGBTQIA+ community but as a dance music community. The podcast isn’t exclusive, it’s for everyone…My hope with the podcast is for people to connect through music.”

This is not Cormac’s first time in the music world as he has already founded Polari Crossbred and has released music on labels such as Correspondant, Throne of Blood, and My Favorite Robot Records. With Queerly Beloved, he wants to spotlight dance music’s queer roots by telling unique individual creative queer stories while celebrating the community’s similarities.

The first two episodes of Queerly Beloved are currently available which featuring Romy and Andy Butler of Hercules and Love Affair. Future episodes will drop fortnightly. Cormac met Romy during a performance in Ibiza over the summer, and the first season features nine interviews with Cormac exploring some of the genres, bands, and locations mentioned throughout the series
