Chicago’s Slow Pulp has made a name for themselves with their debut album on ANTI- Records, Yard. The new release incorporates sonics and lyrics that create a unique atmospheric sound. Slow Pulp recently visited Rough Trade NYC where they discussed the influence of music on their compositions.

Emily chose Robert Lester Folsom’s Sunshine Only Sometimes: Archives Vol. 2, 1972-1975, and Major Murphy’s Access. Alex chose Grandaddy’s Someday, A.R. Kane’s Americana, and Can’s Soundtracks. Henry opted for Death Cab For Cutie’s Transatlanticism, Coldplay’s Parachutes, Lucinda William’s Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, and The Lemonheads’ It’s A Shame About Ray.
