Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film, “Poor Things,” is predicted to be one of the standout films of the 2024 award season. Emma Stone stars as Bella Baxter, a young woman who is resurrected by a scientist after committing suicide and embarks on a self-discovery journey with a wild lawyer. The film is based on Alasdair Gray’s novel of the same title and also features Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Christopher Abbott, Ramy Youssef, Kathryn Hunter, Jerrod Carmichael, Hanna Schygulla, and Margaret Qualley.
