Berlin-based record label Hot Meal Records, created by Bad Boombox, has released its second V/A compilation to kick off 2021. Being the label’s ninth official release, it features songs from artists already well-established with Hot Meal Records, long-time mainstays, and fresh faces. The diverse cast includes MCR-T, Janis Zielinski, Ollie Lishman, MRD, and more.
The album is made up of 14 tracks of a peak-time variety: trance, jackin’ house, hard house, bouncy techno, ghetto tech, and electro. Hot Meal Records represents the “fun, groovy, bouncy, part of the techno and trance scene in Europe”. Releases from Hot Meal Records do not follow a particular formula; instead, the records are compiled from carefully curated ingredients that lead to unique success.
Bad Boombox says, “I’m so stoked to get this second album out to the people who’ve been waiting for not only these tracks I’ve been rinsing, but also an update to the vision for this community we’re trying to build with Hot Meal. It’s full of amazing tunes from artists I share a musical philosophy with. We picked the best of the best to make an impact on the dance music scene, with super hot fire literally from the future.”
The new complication, called ‘Hot Meal Brigade Vol.2’ V/A, is available now on Hot Meal Records
