DJ launches fundraiser to replace broken decks that were “soaked” in urine

DJ NERV MHZ, an Illinois-based musician, has recently launched a fundraising campaign to replace his DJ decks after the equipment was damaged by urine during an event. The Thanksgiving event, titled “ravesgiving”, turned sour when an unknown raver urinated above the DJ booth, causing the liquid to leak onto the decks, which were the now discontinued Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000. Due to the resulting damage, NERV was forced to launch a GoFundMe page to raise money to purchase a new DJ deck to keep shows running hot.

The fundraising goal was set at $1,500, and NERV has already raised $505 to purchase new DJ decks. In an update on the GoFundMe page, NERV expressed gratitude for the support, saying they did not expect the level of assistance that was given for this cause. The fundraiser has raised more than enough to purchase the new device, and the DJ has used funds raised to acquire the Pioneer DJ XDJ-XZ.

NERV stated that the damaged decks had been sent for repairs and that they were being evaluated to determine if they could be mended. Regardless of the outcome, support towards something even greater for our DJs ripping at future shows was put forward, commented NERV. As part of the celebration of the purchase of the new deck, a “very special mix” would be released to express gratitude in an auditory experience, according to the update.

The unfortunate incident involving the urine-damaged decks left the DJ heartbroken and helpless. But the quick act of kindness and support from donors was overwhelming for NERV, who is grateful for every single donor that shared or contributed. The incident highlighted the strong support for the musical community, and the construction of this fundraiser demonstrated how crucial it is to rally around one another, especially during these tough times.
