Two men have been charged with the murder of Conall Evans, a 30-year-old man from Pentre, Rhondda Cynon Taf, who was found seriously injured outside Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda hospital on New Year’s Day. Ashley Davies, 30, from Pentre, and Dewi Morgan, 24, from Tonypandy, are due to appear before Merthyr Tydfil magistrates.
The family of Mr. Evans described him as a “very well-loved son, brother, and family member” and were devastated by his death. South Wales Police are appealing for information about the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lewis said: “We’d like to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community. Our thoughts remain with Mr Evans’ family at this very sad time and we would like to thank them and the community for their support during what has been an extensive and fast-moving investigation”.
The cause of death has not been confirmed and police have yet to release additional details of the case
