The family of Marc Jones, who has been missing since Christmas Day, is urging people to check their security cameras for any signs of the father of one. Jones, who was staying with relatives in Hockley, Essex, disappeared after leaving his relative’s house at around 8:45 am on Saturday morning; it was completely out of character for him to go missing. Police are now searching his hometown of Marlow in Buckinghamshire with help from Thames Valley Police. Jones was last seen wearing a dark padded jacket with a furry hood, brown trousers, a rust-coloured knitted top and black trainers, and he has a cross tattoo on his wrist.
Essex Police carried out an aerial search of the Hockley Woods, but nothing was found. Jones’s family is asking anyone who lives near the woods and has a security camera to check it for any footage that could help police find him. Both Thames Valley and Essex Police are urging anyone who sees Jones to contact 999 immediately.
Jones’s disappearance has no precedent in his past behavior, the family has said. His relatives have noted that he was with his 11-year-old son when he left the house alone; the boy is devastated and constantly asks where his father is. Jones is a white man with brown hair, blue eyes, and a bushy beard. He is 5ft 11in (1.8m) tall and weighs about 11 stones (70 kg). A cross tattoo is also present on his wrist.
Anyone with potential information about Jones is encouraged to contact the police immediately. The family and Thames Valley and Essex Police authorities are appealing to the public, along with CCTV owners that may have footage of the man, to offer any advice that could lead to his whereabouts
