Mike described his father as “funny, intelligent and caring” and stated that Christmas now filled him with dread. He reminded people of the devastating consequences of driving after consuming alcohol or other substances, saying that it was “just a no-win situation”. He urged drivers to not make decisions that could ruin their own lives and that of others.

South Wales Police have recently seen an increase in drink driving arrests and Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan has called for a change in attitudes towards drinking and driving. He warned that driving is “one of the riskiest things people will do in their lives” and urged people not to drive if they have consumed drugs or alcohol over the festive season.
