Five teenagers from Peterborough have been handed jail sentences of at least seven years each after attacking two young men with knives at a play area. The incident took place on 31st May 2022 in Century Square, and resulted in serious injuries for both victims. The convicted assailants are Rudolf Gregor, Patrick Tavera, Samba Balde, Amadu Djalo, and Milan Pollak.
As per the court verdict, Rudolf, Patrick, and Samba have each been sentenced to between 16 and 19.5 years for attempted murder. Amadu and Milan received jail terms for assault with intent. The Cambridgeshire Police shared that one of the victims, a 17-year-old boy, suffered from an arterial bleed to his arm and two puncture wounds to his back that required emergency surgery. The second victim, an 18-year-old male, also had to undergo emergency surgery for multiple puncture wounds to his back, legs, internal organs, buttocks, and neck.
