Edward Little, a man who was convicted of conspiring to launch a gun attack in Hyde Park, was caught lunging at a detective in a video recording released by the police. Little, who was apprehended while trying to buy a gun in south London, has been sentenced to spend 16 years in jail for planning to commit terrorist acts.
The video released by the police showed the suspect clinging to the policeman’s neck before he was dragged away by officers. Much of the footage remains unclear as Little constantly moved around the room and at times turned off the lights. He can be heard shouting incoherently and denying that he was planning to carry out any attack.
During his trial, it was disclosed that Little had been plotting to target Speaker’s Corner, a popular location in London known for its history of free speech. He had also shown support for extremist views and had communicated with like-minded individuals online.
