Gaynor Lord: CCTV shows last-known movements of missing woman

Norfolk Police has released CCTV footage showing the last known movements of a woman named Gaynor Lord, who is currently missing. The 55-year-old was reported missing in Norwich after failing to return home from work on Friday. The footage captures her rushing through the city centre, hours before her belongings – including clothing, jewellery, phone, and glasses – were found scattered across Wensum Park. Specialist divers have been part of the search efforts after the police said it was “likely she had entered the water”.

Ms Lord is a mother of three and worked as a retail assistant for Bullards Gin at Jarrolds department store. She was due to finish work at 4pm on Friday, though CCTV footage shows her leaving at approximately 2:45pm. The last sighted footage of her shows her walking along St. Crispins Road towards Pitt Street before heading up St. Augustines Street at 4:01pm. None of the CCTV footage suggests that any third-party was involved, and the police have no reason to believe that she has come to any harm.

Wensum Park has been closed to the public since Saturday as the police, together with the help of the fire service and coastguard, have been scouring the area searching for clues. There have been no developments since Ms Lord was last seen, and a specialist underwater dive team was brought in to continue the search on Wednesday morning. Anyone who may have dashcam or doorbell footage of the missing woman prior to her disappearance has been urged by the police to get in touch.

Ms Lord is described as being white, 5’6” tall, and with blonde, shoulder-length hair in a bob. When she was last seen she was wearing a white shirt, yellow tank top, a large olive-coloured coat, and a scarf. Family and friends are quite naturally concerned for her welfare, and the police have promised to offer them all the help they can during this distressing time
