Trehafod: Tribute to Matthew Theophilus, 35, after crash death

A father from Caerphilly has passed away following a multi-vehicle crash. Matthew Theophilus, who was 35 years old at the time of his death, was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries as a result of the accident that took place in Trehafod, Rhondda Cynon Taf on Sunday 3rd December. The incident, which involved a white BMW, a blue Vauxhall Zafira, and a white Hyundai, happened at approximately 10 pm GMT. Wales Police are now asking anybody who witnessed the incident to come forward and help with the investigation.

Matthew’s family has been left devastated by the loss of their beloved relative. In a statement issued by the South Wales Police, they paid tribute to a “devoted dad” who “was full of life and love for his family.” The family also expressed that his sudden passing under such heart-wrenching circumstances will leave behind a void that cannot be filled. Matthew’s parents also mentioned that their memories of their son are going to last a lifetime. They added that although they are extremely saddened, Matthew “will live on in his precious daughter, Shaya, who was his princess.”

Theophilus’s passing has come as a massive shock to his friends, family, and the community of Caerphilly. He was held in high regard by all who knew him, who are commending him for his lively personality. The people around the region have been extending their support for the family as they grieve their unimaginable loss.
