Ipswich murder investigation launched after baby's death

Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a newborn baby was found on Norwich Road in Ipswich. The incident saw officers called out to the property at around 12.35pm on Saturday, with paramedics attending the scene. However, the infant was pronounced dead at the location. A male and female have been arrested alongside another male on suspicion of murder.

Cordons are currently in place as the investigation continues, with officers appealing to the public to avoid speculating on social media. “This is a very sad and distressing incident and, at this time, our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death is in its early stages,” warned Det Ch Supt Jane Topping.
