Jorkes has released their latest EP, ‘Super Hot Lover’, on Permanent Vacation. The four-track EP has disco soundscapes and sensual house music, and features artwork by Daniel Rajcsanyi. Berlin’s CYRK remixed the titular track, ‘Super Hot Lover’, changing the original version’s smooth piano melodies and seductive wordless vocals with acid sounds and old-school piano. Chris Cruse also remixed ‘Follow Me To The Toilet’, turning the rippling warm synth sound into a bouncing, fast-paced house track.
Jorkes told Mixmag that ‘Super Hot Lover’ is a continuation of their first EP, ‘Super Fun Lover’ but has a more sexy and erotic tone. These were feelings that emerged from meeting like-minded people on many levels in 2023. Jorkes referred to a toilet in Stuttgart’s Romantica club, which was available for staff only and became a site for personal encounters with mutual attraction. Jorkes believes that exploring hotness and sleaziness provides personal freedom and encourages others to do the same.
‘Super Hot Lover’ is available now on Permanent Vacation.
