Leicestershire Police have charged a 17-year-old boy with the murder of Junior Osborne, a man who was found with fatal stab wounds on Narborough Road on the night of September 27. Osborne, 50, was described by his family as a beloved father, husband, and brother. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Monday and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court at a later time.
Four other people have also been charged with Osborne’s murder. One of them, 18-year-old James Williams, has been named publicly, but the other three cannot be named legally. None of these people are believed to be connected to the appeal from the independent charity Crimestoppers, which issued a call for information on Monday.
The police continue to investigate Osborne’s murder and have called for anyone with information about the incident to come forward. BBC East Midlands has encouraged anyone with information to get in touch via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email.
This is a tragic event that has shaken Osborne’s family and the Leicester community. The police are making every effort to bring those responsible to justice and ensure that something like this never happens again
