A vigil is set to take place on Wednesday evening in memory of Odhrán Kelly, who local sources claim was the victim of murder in Lurgan. The 23-year old is being remembered as a kind and caring person by those who knew him well. Police officers and forensic teams have remained on scene for three days since the discovery of the body. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have stated that they hope to confirm the identity of the body as soon as possible.
Three people, two women aged 35 and 43, and a 31 year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have remained in police custody since their arrests on Sunday. The cordon covers a block of apartments and nearby parkland, where a burnt-out car has also been discovered. No information about the gender of the victim was released by police until yesterday evening.
The investigation is in its early stages and police have appealed for anyone with CCTV footage or information about the Edward Street area between 02:00-05:00 GMT on Sunday to come forward. Floral tributes have been laid close to the scene.
