The popular electronic rock band LCD Soundsystem has been announced as the second headliner for the All Points East Festival in London. The band will perform on Friday, August 23, marking their return to the festival since headlining the inaugural edition last year.
Alongside LCD Soundsystem, other notable performers include Pixies, Floating Points, Jockstrap, Nation of Language, Eyedress, and a live set from Sofia Kourtesis. The elusive Jai Paul, who made his live debut at Coachella earlier this year, will also give a special performance.
Loyle Carner has already been announced as the headliner for the weekend before, performing on Saturday, August 17. Ezra Collective, Nas, Joe James, ENNY, Sainté, and Navy Blue will also feature during that day.
This year, LCD Soundsystem released their first new track in over five years, ‘New Body Rhumba,’ created for a new Netflix film titled White Noise. They last released original music in 2017 with the 11-track record American Dream, followed by a live album in 2019, Electric Lady Sessions.
Frontman James Murphy revealed in 2023 that the band was “stepping out of the usual touring cycle,” with a recent announcement of a string of dates around New York City. They’re due to perform at both Terminal 5 and Knockdown Centre throughout December.
Tickets for LCD Soundsystem at All Points East Festival go on sale on Friday, December 6 starting at £54.95
