PRVNA has just launched her brand new EP entitled ‘Move My Hips’. The four-track EP consists of afro-house grooves that manages to capture that dancefloor energy right from the very start.
The EP starts with ‘All Day’, which begins with a four-to-the-floor kick drum affair and continues on with rhythmic shakers. This is where the EP’s title is brought to life, with PRVNA’s smooth vocals and layered whispers. The next two tracks, ‘Move My Hips’ and ‘Only U,’ were previously released as singles. It finishes off with the soulful ‘Work on Me’ and the fiery ‘Fantasy.’
When asked about the EP, PRVNA had this to say: “This EP has been a real journey to womanhood for me, The project starts with an almost innocence – delicate and pretty and transforms into something dark and demanding – with bold and brazen lyrics. It is an invitation from me: to feel good, push boundaries, take up space – and if you can, move your hips.”
PRVNA incorporates a mixture of genres and varied cultural influences in her music, an ode to tropical islands and uplifting dance music. With previous releases through NeedWant and Nervous Records, PRVNA has been supported by artists such as Jyoty, Jess Iszatt, and Danny Howard.
