Singers Ian Brown and Rowetta joined in with tributes to the late Mounfield by calling her a “beautiful friend” who will be greatly missed.

Mounfield also spoke about her cancer battles and how she did not want to sit around thinking about the illness all the time as it is all-consuming. She balanced out her thoughts, giving herself something positive to think about, by engaging in charitable activities. The Primal Scream bassist Simone Marie who was close to Mounfield, described her as a “beautiful soul, a huge heart, cutting humour, the strongest spirit, a mother, a wife, a wonderful human”. She also expressed how her heart breaks for Mounfield’s immediate family and everyone who knew and loved her
