A new compilation has been released by Nadia Says, founder of Your Mom’s Agency and Berlin Sounds x Images series’ curator. The digital collectible record comprises sounds and images from the German capital provided by multi-genre musicians and visual artists living in the city, featuring hip-hop, techno, ambient, house, and other genres. Each Friday until mid-December, a music act matched with a visual artist is released in a drop, and 10 limited edition tracks can be purchased for each drop with an artist’s “unique gift.” The “precious souvenir of Berlin’s ever-evolving art scene” can be anything from a remix of an original track, a signed print, a soundbath experience, having your horoscope read, or even learning new techniques for your artistic practices.
Kyoka, Eric D. Clark, Anika, Patric Catani, Toktok and other musicians are involved in the project, with visual artworks by Harriet Davey (animation and still pieces). It is a pleasure for artists to “cross the borders,” “reach as many as we,”, and”bring together as many as we can,” Anika said. Collaboration between musicians and visual artists allows the spread of music “in a unification of disciplines” to explore music and visual arts’ limits and the effects they can have spread the love, understanding, confusion, and emotions. Seas, money, and land divide us as people, but as artists, we attempt to bridge the gap and connect with people across the globe.
The digital collectible platform Guzzu is where the Berlin Sounds x Images compilation can be purchased and they offer valuable opportunities to support artists and labels. Guzzu is environmentally conscious, offers 15% commission on sales, and accepts PayPal payments, and not necessarily crypto-savvy fans. Buying digital collectibles or music in NFTs does not need to be only for fans who are crypto-savvy. The visuals and tracks can be saved in MP3 and WAV formats, and the collectibles will last forever on the Internet. This means the collection is like purchasing a legitimate piece of art from a gallery (which could increase in value in the future) and it will never be lost or damaged, even if the device or platform is lost.
Berlin Sounds x Images are unveiled weekly, and they are available now for fans to purchase. Rather than maintain the various models of streaming and social media, Nadia Says promotes fans’ genuine support for artists and fun and meaningful connections
