Tresor, the legendary Berlin nightclub and record label, is launching a new mentorship programme entitled ‘How to Run a Club’. The course will last three months and be hosted at the Kraftwerk Berlin. The programme aims to give successful candidates an insight into the day-to-day running of a nightclub, from booking talent to staffing and customer relations.
Six applicants will be hand-picked to join the programme, which is open to anyone who meets the entry criteria. Tresor has teamed up with the Academy of Subcultural Understanding and the Tresor Foundation to create the mentoring course, which is set to begin in Spring 2024.
The deadline for submitting an application is November 20, 2022. The lucky candidates selected will be given a rare opportunity to work behind the scenes at one of the world’s most revered nightclubs, while receiving invaluable training and education in live events management.
The programme aims to promote diversity and inclusivity in the nightlife industry, with a particular focus on providing opportunities for young people from underrepresented backgrounds. According to the Tresor Foundation, “The music industry and club culture can be elitist and exclusionary, making it difficult for diverse and talented individuals to break through”. The mentoring programme hopes to tackle this problem and promote equal opportunities across the industry
