A 20-year-old drill rapper, who performs under the name Official TS and whose real name is Al-Arfat Hassan, has pleaded guilty to possessing chemicals that could be used for terrorism. The rapper, from Enfield, in North London, was stopped by police at Heathrow Airport on February 27, 2021, with two iPhones. Reports suggest that Hassan had bought ingredients used to make explosives, two knives, and a sword. Hassan had posed with the weapons in a video where he talked about looking good “for his final moments.”
He was caught by police at Heathrow, where he was attempting to board a flight to Bangladesh with his father and uncle. After his arrest, he is said to have returned home to “dispose of the chemicals and most of the weapons.” However, a wealth of incriminating evidence was found on Hassan’s phones by the Counter-Terrorism Policing National Digital Exploitation Service (NDES) after he was caught.
