Works Of Intent shares debut album, ‘Richer Sound’

A debut album by Works Of Intent, titled ‘Richer Sound’, has been shared with the public. The album is comprised of six newly-released tracks and six cuts previously released on COD3 QR, a record label owned by Laurent Garnier and Scan X. The 12 tracks on the album redefine the concept of big room techno and reflect the artist’s non-confirmist approach to his productions.

Works Of Intent’s mantra is “big tunes for big hearts”, and the artist is driven by a passion for musicality. The artist champions the sounds and stories of South Asian creatives in their role as Project Manager and visual Designer for Daytimers, and has written several essays on race, class, and privilege within the industry. Works Of Intent also handled the artwork, mixing, and mastering for the album.

According to the artist, the album is “melancholia turned up so loud you can’t ignore it”. It is an unapologetic barrage of emotions designed for super clubs, with an all-encompassing approach to sound. The album’s tracks include everything from wailing synths and ethereal sprinklings to hefty kick drums, Berlin-style techno, and dubstep minimalism.

‘Richer Sound’ is now available for streaming. Works Of Intent’s debut album offers listeners a unique and genre-busting approach to big room techno
