Copenhagen is now home to a new nightclub, kat.4, situated in the Old Town. kat.4 has a capacity of 350 and is managed by CPH DEEP, a local music collective who has been running events in Copenhagen for the past decade. The opening night featured Stereo Express, Philip Siegrist, and Lean Robotti. The next event, which is scheduled for November 11, will showcase Mini Malene, Kipp and Olivier Giacomotto.
The collective stated that “It has long been a dream for CPH DEEP to open a more permanent place to hold events. All members of CPH DEEP have electronic music deep in their hearts and that in itself is the motivation for the whole project”. CPH DEEP has been running monthly events with IG60 and also previously hosted its own radio show.
The club has a no-photo policy, with the focus being on enjoying the music. However, in collaboration with Mixmag, the club has shared some exclusive images of the interior to give people a taste of what they can expect. The spokesperson for the club has said that they aim to present some of the best electronic music experiences that Copenhagen has to offer. “Music is the heart of the club, beautifully surrounded by a dance floor to freak out on and sofa areas to relax in.”
