British sisters missing after Hamas attack on Israel

The recent Hamas attack on Israel has resulted in two British teenage sisters being reported missing. Noiya, who is 16, and Yahel, who is 13, were living at Kibbutz Be’eri when the attack occurred. Sadly, the girls’ mother, Lianne, who was a British national, was killed in the same attack.

The family has not released the surname of the missing sisters. Meanwhile, the family of their mother has paid tribute to Lianne, describing her as a “beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend”. The family emphasized that she enriched the lives of everyone who knew her. The girls’ father, Eli, is also reported to be missing.

In a statement to Parliament, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak confirmed that six British citizens were killed in the attacks, and a further 10 were missing. Some of the missing people may have died in the attack. The Prime Minister has called for the immediate release of the 199 individuals who have been taken hostage. Mr. Sunak stated that although it is difficult to identify many of the deceased, at least six Britons were killed. The UK government is working with Israel to establish the facts and offer support to the families of the victims.
