Women in hospital after suspected Baddeley Green bully XL attack

Two women were attacked by a dog, believed to be an American Bully XL, inside a house in Baker Crescent, Baddeley Green, Staffordshire. The police were called at around 11:40 BST on Thursday as reports came in of an out-of-control dog. The women were given emergency treatment at the scene and then transported to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment. The force said that the dog had been “contained” at the scene by officers and after consulting with its owners, was ordered to be destroyed.

Following a series of incidents, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had announced earlier this month that American Bully XL dogs would be prohibited. Staffordshire police have stated that the investigation of the incident is continuing.

Two ambulances and a paramedic were dispatched to the site by the West Midlands Ambulance Service and they took the two females to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment.
