A dog attack has resulted in “serious injuries” to a man, with a 44-year-old man being arrested, according to Northumbria Police. The incident occurred just before 7pm at an address on Maple Terrace, Shiney Row, with police destroying the animal at the scene. A second dog was also seized from the property. Officers have asked that anyone with information relating to the incident come forward by speaking to someone on duty, using the “Tell Us Something” page on the Northumbria Police website, or by contacting the force quoting reference number NP-20231003-0979.
