A young boy, whose identity must be kept private due to his age, has pleaded guilty to causing the death of Marcia Grant. Mrs. Grant lost her life when the thirteen-year-old drove over her in her own vehicle outside her Sheffield home on April 5th. The boy likewise admitted that he was in possession of a knife, which he had in his possession during the offence. Sheffield Crown Court heard that the child will be sentenced on December 1st, in light of his guilty plea.
The accused boy, who wore a black tie and white shirt, spoke only to confirm his name and his plea by way of a video link. Earlier, he had pleaded not guilty to murder, however later offered a guilty plea to causing death by dangerous driving, which was accepted by prosecutors.
