Wire, the Leeds club, has announced the start of its programming for the final part of 2023. There will be parties every night during the final week of September, with music ranging from techno, disco, garage, dubstep, bass, electro, to drum ‘n’ bass, for partygoers in the city.
The lineup for September to December will include My Nu Leng, Batu, Soul Mass Transit System, Giselle Guedes, Stones Taro, Introspekt, Jay Carder, Club Fitness, and Pangaea. A charity night, for which the date and the artists are yet to be announced, will be held, where attendees will have to bring an item for local food banks in exchange for entry.
Wire’s General Manager Josh Powell, told Mixmag: “While we are still working closely some of the most dedicated promoters in the city, we are also welcoming some new names to Leeds this season. Out The Box are branching out from London and Bristol to celebrate 10 years of My Nu Leng in October, and DR3 are coming over the Pennines from Manchester in November.” He added, “it feels like the city is on the rise! For me, the Triptych parties run by Bakey & Mage are at the forefront of the forward-thinking scene which has kept me in the city for the past decade.”
Wire has been operating for almost 17 years, with Powell having been involved with the venue for more than half that time. The club has evolved a lot alongside the culture, and this season is no different. “We are really buzzing about what we have in store for the next few months and beyond,” he said.
